Lifetime Hits Back At Wendy Williams’ Guardian, Sabrina Morrissey; Claims She ‘Supported Her Mental Decline’ By Failing To Prevent Alcohol Abuse
Lifetime is claiming that Wendy Williams’ guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, “failed” to protect the talk show host and “isolated” her amid dementia struggles. Additionally, the network claims Sabrina Morrissey supported Wendy Williams’ “mental decline and destructive behavior.” Probably the most fanning accusation is that the guardian “failed” to prevent her from abusing alcohol, which has been linked to her aggressive dementia.
Lifetime has filed a countersuit against the guardian, claiming she was interfering with their exercise of free speech rights by trying to stop the documentary.
They claim the guardian wanted the Lifetime docuseries not released because it made Sabrina Morrissey look bad, not Wendy Williams.
“Thus, it appears that Morrisey is misusing her position as a guardian of [Wendy] to silence criticism of her controversial and failed administration of [Wendy’s] guardianship.”
They also deny that they only paid Wendy $80K for the doc and say it was approximately $400K instead.
