Michigan Man Allegedly St@bs Boss During Staff Meeting In Possible Luigi Mangione Copycat Crime
A Michigan man allegedly st@bbed the president of the company he works for during a staff meeting in what police suggest could be a “copycat” attack inspired by the k*lling of UnitedHealth CEO Brian Thompson.
The incident occurred Tuesday (Dec. 17) at Anderson Express Inc. in Muskegon, where Erik Denslow, the company’s president, was sta@bbed “in the side with a knife,” according to Fruitport Township Police.
Deputy Police Chief Greg Poulson told News 8, “We’re going through all his social accounts, all his electronic media and trying to determine a motive for this act.”
Denslow remains hospitalized in critical condition but is expected to survive.
Nathan Mahoney, described by co-workers as having a “quiet demeanor,” fled the scene but was apprehended 15 minutes later. He was arraigned Wednesday (Dec. 18) on charges of assault with intent to murder.
Anderson Express Inc. said in a statement that they are “in shock” over the incident and focused on supporting their employees.
