FBI Issues Warning To Pro Athletes As Organized Crime Groups Target Their Homes
Star athletes are being warned to stay vigilant as the FBI investigates a series of burglaries targeting their homes.
The FBI confirmed that South American organized crime groups appear to be behind these break-ins, often occurring while athletes are on the road or at games.
The FBI said,
“These homes are targeted for burglary due to the perception they may have high-end goods like designer handbags, jewelry, watches, and cash.”

Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are among the victims. Mahomes’ mansion was targeted on October 6, and Kelce’s home was hit the next day, with around $20,000 stolen while he and girlfriend Taylor Swift were at a downtown hotel.
FBI officials say the burglars are bypassing security systems by disabling cameras and alarms, urging athletes to take note of their valuables and limit social media posts.
