Carrie Underwood Sings A Cappella At Trump’s Inauguration After Sound Issues

Carrie Underwood sang “America the Beautiful” a cappella at President Donald Trump’s inauguration after technical issues disrupted her performance.

After Trump’s remarks in the Capitol Rotunda, Carrie prepared to sing with a backing track, but the music abruptly cut off. Cameras captured her mouthing to a technical team member, “Just sing?” before nodding and proceeding without accompaniment.

“OK, if you know the words, help me out here,” she told the audience before starting her rendition of the anthem.
