Chris Brown Sues Warner Bros. For $500 Million Over Docu, Says He Was Unfairly Labeled As An Abuser
Chris Brown is suing Warner Bros. Discovery and others behind the docuseries “Chris Brown: A History of Violence” for defamation, claiming the series spread false and damaging claims about him.
In court documents, Brown argues the docuseries falsely labeled him a “serial rapist” and “sexual abuser,” despite providing “proof” the narrative was untrue. The lawsuit centers on a discredited Jane Doe, who had previously withdrawn her allegations against him.

Brown asserts he has never been convicted of a sex crime and has spent years rebuilding his reputation after past mistakes, including his assault on Rihanna. The singer seeks $500 million in damages, part of which he intends to donate to sexual abuse victims.
Brown’s legal team claims the series’ false portrayal has severely harmed his career and business prospects. No comment has been received from the producers or Warner Bros. Discovery.
