In an interview with PEOPLE promoting her new Lifetime film “Mary J. Blige’s Family Affair,” the Grammy winner revealed that she fired a team member after a partial leak of her setlist surfaced online earlier this month.
“I was pissed, and I fired someone because of it,” Blige shared, expressing her disappointment over the breach of trust. She added:
“We worked too hard, and the setlist is the most private thing. It was unprofessional. Obviously, it was somebody within the camp, and they risked their whole life just to get a couple of likes.”
Despite the setback, Blige reassured fans that the leak barely scratched the surface of what she has in store, noting:
“Only a little bit got leaked, and that’s not even half. People don’t even know what else is coming.”
The 36-city tour, featuring Mario and Ne-Yo, is set to kick off on January 30 in North Carolina and wrap on April 17 in Philadelphia.
