Suge Knight Reveals Tupac Wanted To Sign Aaliyah: ‘He Thought She Was The Biggest Star’
Suge Knight is sharing a piece of history about Tupac and Aaliyah.
In a recent interview with Art Of Dialogue, Suge Knight recalled a time when he took Tupac to a Gladys Knight show. When Gladys Knight brought Aaliyah out to sing, Tupac was instantly captivated.
Suge Knight said,
“Pac was so excited. I ain’t never seen that motherf*cker so happy. He wasn’t thinking about signing nobody else. He thought she was the biggest star and had the best voice ever.”
Aaliyah eventually signed with Jive and Blackground Records, and of course, became heavily linked to R. Kelly. However, a Tupac-era Aaliyah could’ve been a vibe!
