In a new Instagram post, the singer shared a message reflecting on his decision to stay rooted in L.A. despite growing pressure to leave. “Everyone telling me to move from LA,” he wrote. “U think I’m gonna get bullied to leave where my influence is most needed?”

The post comes just days after Bieber was seen in a tense moment with paparazzi while out with wife Hailey Bieber. Though he didn’t directly mention the incident, many fans believe his post is a response to the recent media chaos.

His statement continued,
“I too have been caught up in the transactional nature of Hollywood. It’s embarrassing but with that said, I want nothing to do with that as a grown adult with a wife and son.”

He closed the message with a note on his purpose moving forward:
“I just want to be submerged in the culture learning from any and everyone. And be a proponent and advocate for LOVE AND EQUALITY.”
