‘The Voice Kids’ Star Karen Silva Passes Away From Sudden Hemorrhagic Stroke [CONDOLENCES]
Karen Silva, the 17-year-old former semi-finalist of “The Voice Kids,” has tragically died following a hemorrhagic stroke.
The young Brazilian singer, who began taking singing lessons at eight and captivated audiences passed away after days of hospitalization at São João Batista Hospital.
A statement shared on Instagram read, “Karen enchanted Brazil with her powerful voice and striking presence…More than an up-and-coming artist, Karen was a symbol of empowerment, especially for Black girls.”

Her father, Fernando, said, “She left home to have lunch on Friday, and three hours later she was in a coma.” He added, “To know my daughter passed like this, it hurts so much.”
Karen Silva is survived by her parents, Manoella and Fernando. Her cousin Thais remembered her as “an incredible girl…funny, charismatic, spontaneous. Wherever she went, she won everyone over.”
