‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ Star Jiggly Caliente Passes Away At 44 Following Leg Amputation

RuPaul’s Drag Race star Jiggly Caliente, real name Bianca Castro-Arabejo, has sadly passed away at the age of 44.
Caliente’s family shared the heartbreaking news on her official Instagram, announcing that the beloved reality star transitioned earlier today, April 27, 2025, after being hospitalized for a severe infection that led to the amputation of her right leg.

Jiggly, born in San Pedro, Philippines, became a prominent figure in the drag and LGBTQ+ communities and was catapulted to stardom after appearing on RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 4 where she placed 8th in 2012. She later returned for RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars season 6 in 2021 where she came in 12th.
Beyond the runway, Jiggly showcased her acting talents in the acclaimed TV series Pose, portraying Veronica Ferocity. In 2022, she served as a judge on Drag Race Philippines, bringing her journey full circle by uplifting Filipino drag artists.
In 2016, Jiggly publicly came out as transgender, becoming a powerful voice and advocate for the trans community. Her commitment to authenticity and her vibrant spirit left an unforgettable mark on everyone who knew her.
