Tyler Perry Fires Back At Interviewer Questioning Janet Jackson About Super Bowl Wardrobe Malfunction In Resurfaced Clip
Tyler Perry wasn’t having it when a TV interviewer pressed Janet Jackson about her infamous Super Bowl wardrobe malfunction.
In a resurfaced clip that’s been making waves online, Perry and Janet were doing a joint interview to promote Perry’s 2007 film Why Did I Get Married?, which Janet stars in.
While the interview was supposed to focus on the movie, two of the interviewers made it a point to repeatedly bring up Janet’s controversial 2004 Super Bowl performance, where Justin Timberlake joined her on stage and accidentally exposed her breast, ripping part of her costume.

The interviewer essentially placed the blame on Janet, asking how it felt to have:
“single-handedly rocked the broadcast world, policy around the world, [impacted] FCC policy change and millions of dollars…as a result of that single incident,”
Tyler Perry was quick to step in, repeatedly steering the conversation back to the film. At one point, he snapped back at the interviewers, saying:
“We’re here to talk about the movie. I just think we should keep it to what we wanted to talk about.”
Despite both Perry and Janet’s visible discomfort, the interviewers continued to make jokes, even mentioning that they were free to file a complaint if they wanted to.
