Monica Lewinsky Compares Her Rap Song Mentions To Halle Berry’s: ‘Wanna Trade?’
Halle Berry and Monica Lewinsky have found themselves the subject of numerous rap references, but their responses couldn’t be more different.
Over the weekend, a fan tweeted about Halle’s frequent name-drops in rap songs, writing, “Halle Berry may be the most rapped about woman in history. Imagine being that fine.” Halle replied,
“And I appreciate every rap song reference. What are you guys’ favorite?”

While Halle embraces the attention, Monica hasn’t had quite the same reaction. Her mentions are often tied to the infamous affair she had with President Bill Clinton in the 90s. Responding to Halle’s tweet, Monica joked, “Wanna trade?!?” with a wink emoji, a clear nod to the stark contrast in how each woman is referenced.
Monica’s dissatisfaction with these shoutouts isn’t new. Back in 2022, she suggested Beyoncé remove a lyric from her 2013 hit “Partition,” which referenced the affair. She made the comment after Beyoncé removed the word “spaz” from another song following backlash over its ableist connotations.
