Diddy S*x Trafficking Trial Is Led By An All-White Female Prosecution Team
The federal prosecution team in Diddy’s s*x trafficking trial is made up entirely of white women and led by Maurene Comey — daughter of former FBI director James Comey. Maurene, a Harvard Law grad, previously helped convict Ghislaine Maxwell and is now heading the case for the Southern District of New York.
She’ll be joined by Emily Anne Johnson, Madison Reddick Smyser, Mary Christine Slavik, Meredith Foster, and Mitzi Steiner. Diddy’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, has stated they plan to argue this is a racially charged “takedown of a successful Black man.”
Meanwhile, some believe the all-female prosecution may resonate with the jury, given the nature of the charges. Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all five federal counts, including two for sex trafficking, and recently declined a plea deal from prosecutors.
Jury selection is scheduled to begin next week.
