Accused L.A. Crips Leader Eugene ‘Big U’ Henley’s 43-Count RICO Indictment Reportedly Includes 20,000 Wiretaps & Numerous Video Evidence, Feds Say
Eugene “Big U” Henley, known for his influence in L.A.’s street and suspected leader of the L.A. Crips is reportedly facing a mountain of evidence in his RICO case.
According to new court filings obtained by Complex, federal prosecutors claim they have over 60 GB of evidence against Big U, including
“20,000 intercepted audio calls, as well as numerous surreptitious audio and video recordings.”
That’s on top of law enforcement reports, search warrants, criminal records, and photographs.
Henley was indicted back in March on a staggering 43 counts, tied to what prosecutors claim is a criminal operation linked to the Rollin’ 60s Crips. Charges include conspiracy to violate the RICO Act, Hobbs Act violations, wire fraud, bank fraud, tax evasion, and more.

Still, Big U is standing firm. In a video posted before turning himself in, he said:
“I ain’t been nothing but a help to our community… This the price of being Black and trying to help somebody, trying to help your community and do what you can.”
The trial is scheduled for May 20, 2025, but with some co-defendants asking for a delay due to legal conflicts, we may not see this one in court until May 2026.
