Jay-Z’s Former Artist Memphis Bleek Recalls Mogul’s Hilarious Reponse To Heartfelt Message About His Debut Album
Anniversary
Memphis Bleek recently shared a hilarious exchange with his longtime mentor and former boss, Jay-Z.
The New York rapper, who got his big break signing to Jay-Z’s Roc-A-Fella Records in the late ’90s, recalled texting Jay to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his debut album.

In the message, Bleek thanked Jay for taking a chance on him and reflected:
“who knows what life would’ve been,”
Instead of a sentimental reply, Bleek says Jay hit him back with a signature dose of dry humor, saying:
“Nah, I know what you would’ve been. You would’ve been a blogger.”
Is the reaction spot on for Jay-Z? ?
