Chad Johnson Explains Why He Repeats Outfits & Shops At Urban Outfitters & H&M: ‘I Don’t Need Validation From Nobody’
Former NFL star Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson doesn’t believe style has to come with a sky-high price tag.
On a recent episode of his podcast Night Cap with Shannon Sharpe, the 47-year-old made it clear he’s not into spending a huge amount of money on everyday clothing, insisting that he isn’t dressing for anyone other than himself. He shared:
“I don’t need validation from nobody on the outside, never have.”

He added:
“That’s another downfall of our society, we always need validation and acceptance from others.”
Chad also shared that he happily shops at stores like H&M and Urban Outfitters and isn’t shy about repeating outfits. A refreshing take in a culture that often equates luxury with status.
Do you agree with Chad’s perspective on not needing expensive fashion?
