The cast of The Wire is remembering Michael K. Williams with love and admiration.
During a recent appearance on The Breakfast Club, several of the show’s stars opened up about the late actor’s incredible warmth and the lasting impact he had on their lives, both on and off screen.
Despite the critically acclaimed series wrapping back in 2008, Michael K. Williams’ former castmates say he remained a supportive force for them and their families.
Michael K. Williams, who portrayed the legendary Omar Little on the hit HBO drama, passed away in 2021 at the age of 54 from a fatal overdose after unknowingly consuming fentanyl-laced drugs. His death sent shockwaves through the entertainment world and sparked renewed conversations about the opioid crisis. Several individuals have since been arrested in connection to his death.
His legacy continues to live on through the lives he touched and the unforgettable characters he brought to life.
