Donald Trump Alleges Kamala Harris Paid For Celebrity Endorsements, Demands Investigation
Donald Trump wants answers about Kamala Harris’ celebrity support during her presidential campaign.
Trump took to Truth Social on Monday (May 19) to accuse her campaign of paying stars like Bruce Springsteen, Beyoncé, and Oprah Winfrey for endorsements.
“HOW MUCH DID KAMALA HARRIS PAY BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN FOR HIS POOR PERFORMANCE DURING HER CAMPAIGN FOR PRESIDENT? WHY DID HE ACCEPT THAT MONEY IF HE IS SUCH A FAN OF HERS?” Trump wrote. “ISN’T THAT A MAJOR AND ILLEGAL CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTION? WHAT ABOUT BEYONCÉ? …AND HOW MUCH WENT TO OPRAH, AND BONO???”
He continued,
“I am going to call for a major investigation into this matter. Candidates aren’t allowed to pay for ENDORSEMENTS, which is what Kamala did, under the guise of paying for entertainment.”
Trump later claimed Beyoncé was paid $11 million to appear at a Houston rally and endorse Harris without performing:
“THIS IS AN ILLEGAL ELECTION SCAM AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL! IT IS AN ILLEGAL CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTION!”

Harris’ team denied the claim, noting that her campaign paid Beyoncé’s company $165,000 for event costs. Oprah also publicly denied receiving any payment, writing,
“I was not paid a dime. My time and energy were my way of supporting the campaign.”
