‘The Pivot’ Host Ryan Clark Says Being Snubbed By Stephen A. Smith Fueled His Rise In Sports Media: I Got You, I’ll Show You’
Ryan Clark says a snub from Stephen A. Smith motivated his media career.
During an appearance on Idea Generation, Ryan revealed that Stephen A. once left his name off a list of athletes he believed would become media stars:
“Stephen A. was asked years ago who are like the next Stephen A.s, who are the athletes who would be the next guys. And he didn’t mention me.”
At the time, Clark had already made history as “the first active football player to ever work in TV,” and felt like his impact was being overlooked:
“But you said those two dudes? Aight, bet. I got you. I’ll show you.”
