Escaped New Orleans Inmate Antoine Massey Claims He Was ‘Let Out’ Of Jail, Pleads For Legal Help As Police Continue Looking For Him

Antoine Massey, one of the ten men who escaped Orleans Parish jail in New Orleans on May 16, resurfaced online Monday in a surprising twist—pleading for legal help.

In a series of Instagram videos posted to the @\_007chucky account, Massey claimed he didn’t escape but was “let out.”

“I’m one of the ones that was let out of Orleans Parish jail where they said I escaped, right?” he said.

Massey also argued he shouldn’t have been jailed in the first place, saying the charges stemmed from a false report.

The videos quickly gained attention, racking up over 1,500 followers in under an hour.

Massey, 32, had been arrested in March for vehicle theft and domestic abuse battery and was wanted in St. Tammany Parish for rape and kidnapping. He hadn’t entered a plea before the escape.

Authorities are still searching for Massey and Derrick Groves, both with $50,000 rewards on their heads.

Do you think he will be caught?
