While Marvel’s multiverse has made room for unexpected casting before, insiders say this is not one of those cases.

Original Story: (Jun 10, 2025): Could Ryan Gosling be the next Black Panther?
In the just-released Marvel Knights: The World To Come Vol. 1 #1, the character claiming to be the son of T’Challa is revealed on the final page. He unmasks as a white man with blonde hair and blue eyes. Fans quickly pointed out the resemblance to Gosling, with some now wondering if the actor could be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Although it’s just a comic book, this kind of character redesign isn’t unheard of. Marvel has updated its characters before to resemble their live-action counterparts.
He also already has ties to Disney, Marvel’s parent company. He was previously rumored to join the MCU as Ghost Rider or Nova, and he’s currently starring in Star Wars: Starfighter.
For now, nothing is confirmed. The only person officially announced for Black Panther 3 is Denzel Washington.
