Cardi B Defends Including ‘Wap’ & ‘Up’ On Her Forthcoming Album: ‘They Deserve A Home…Go Cry About It!’
Cardi B has a message for critics questioning why “WAP” and “Up” are appearing on her long-awaited album, “Am I The Drama.”
In a heated tweet, the rapper made it clear this is the “last and only time” she’ll address the backlash.
“WAP and Up are two of my biggest songs,” she wrote. “My fans have been asking me to put them on an album…they deserve a home.”
She also revealed past regrets, admitting, “I let haters make me not submit WAP for the Grammys,” but this time she’s focusing on her fans.
“These two songs don’t even count for first week sales so what are y’all even crying about?” she added.
Calling out industry double standards, Cardi continued, “Do y’all say anything when all these artists pull out all their little tricks and ponies to sell out? Exactly…Now let them eat cake. Go cry about it!”
Was Cardi wrong for including the singles that came out several years ago?
