Jake Paul Ranked No. 14 By World Boxing Association After Defeating Former WBA Champ Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
Jake Paul’s latest boxing win has officially earned him a spot among the sport’s rising contenders!
The World Boxing Association has ranked the YouTube star at No. 14 in the cruiserweight division on its updated list released Monday (June 30). The placement comes after Jake secured a major win over former champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. this past weekend, a victory the WBA president reportedly said would lock him in for a ranking spot if he pulled it off.
Following the fight, Jake is now considered a legitimate contender for the title, with his eyes possibly set on the championship belt.

Since breaking into the boxing world in 2020, Jake has largely gone up against MMA fighters and veterans past their prime. But he’s managed to make serious waves, including his live Netflix fight against Mike Tyson, which became the most-streamed sporting event in history.
Now, Jake may get the chance to face off against top-tier talent, including current WBO champion Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez, who boasts a 47–1 record with 30 knockouts.
Do you think Jake Paul has what it takes to go all the way?
