Plane Makes Emergency Landing After Passenger Claimed His Laptop Was A Bomb
An Allegiant flight was forced to make an emergency landing after a passenger allegedly claimed his laptop was a bomb.
According to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, 27-year-old Taj Taylor told another passenger mid-air that “his laptop was a b*mb.”
Once word spread, the flight, which was headed to Virginia, returned to St. Pete–Clearwater Airport.

Taylor’s belongings were searched, and no explosives were found, but the FBI is now involved. Per an FBI affidavit, Taylor said he had recently been released from a mental health facility and was “suffering from a lack of clarity.”
The airline said, “Allegiant does not tolerate disruptive behavior of any kind,” confirming Taylor was taken into custody. Passengers were later given $100 vouchers.
