Joey Bada$$ Blasts Columbia Records, Accuses Label Of Delaying Album Release For No Reason: ‘All They Do Is Get In My Way’ [VIDEO]
Joey Bada$$ isn’t sugarcoating his frustration with his label.
The Brooklyn rapper took to IG Live to vent about Columbia Records allegedly delaying his upcoming album Lonely At The Top, just days before its planned August 1 release.
“My album is signed, sealed, and delivered over a month ago… This is literally an Exhibit A of the label getting in the artist’s way,” he told fans.

Joey made it clear the hold-up isn’t due to sample clearances or features, just label politics. Despite being signed to Columbia, he said he feels more like an independent artist, claiming:
“All they do is get in my way. They really don’t f***ing contribute to nothing.”
Lonely At The Top would mark Joey’s first full-length project since 2022. The lead single “ABK” dropped earlier this month and was performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
As of now, no new release date has been confirmed.
