Gilbert Arenas has been released on a $50,000 bail and pleaded not guilty after being arrested for his alleged involvement in a gambling ring on Wednesday, July 30.
Gilbert and his co-defendants, which include a “high-level member of an Israeli trans-national crime group,” are accused of operating an illegal gambling business out of his Encino, Calif., mansion with poker games that required an entry fee.
The alleged events also came with chefs; valet parking and armed security.
Women, who also had to pay for entry, allegedly gave massages and provided drinks and companionship to the guests.
Charges against Arenas and others include conspiracy to operate an illegal gambling business. They’re facing up to five years in federal prison if they’re found guilty.
The former NBA player celebrated his release with a video on social media of him smiling while skipping down the steps as he said:
“They can’t hold me baby.”
He also denied any wrongdoing and wrote:
“Im Back on the Block like it’s HOT This aint got shyt to do with me ” just rented the house” Wasnt apart of the Festivities #SnitchingGilComingSOON #51-0 the mayweather of court”
