On live, while promoting her new song Imaginary Players, she said, “This single is really how I talk all day, every day, but in a song. [It’s] real flexy, flex sh*t.”

Cardi also teased the story behind the track, sharing, “If only y’all knew the story for what I had to go through with this single.”
