Family Of Demartravion Reed, Black Delta State Student Found Hanging From Tree, NOT Willing To Accept Any Cause Of De@th’ Until Independent Autopsy Is Performed

Update on the heartbreaking case of Demartravion “Trey” Reed.

Reed’s family is reportedly waiting for the results of an independent autopsy before accepting the report from Bolivar County Coroner Randolph Seals Jr., which claims that “the deceased did not suffer any lacerations, contusions, compound fractures, broken bones, or injuries consistent with an a$$ault. At this time, there is no evidence to suggest the individual was physically attacked before his de@th.”

As reported, on Monday (Sept. 15), 21-year-old Reed was found hanging from a tree on the campus of #DeltaState University. An investigation is still unfolding, and several of his classmates have since taken to the internet to share condolences and demand answers. His family is also unsatisfied with authorities for not suspecting foul play in Reed’s tragic passing. Especially given the misinformation they received from police, who initially told them “Trey was found dead in his dorm room, in his bed.”

A statement released through their attorney said: “Trey’s family is not willing to accept any cause of death until they have been presented with all of the facts that will be independently verified through our own investigation.” Delta State is reportedly providing counseling and support services to students, faculty, and staff.

TJB sends out love to Demartravion Reed’s family during this challenging time.
