Recalling Scary Moment She Realized She Needed Therapy: I Didn’t Care What Happened To Me’
#MeganTheeStallion didn’t hold back when revealing what prompted her to seek therapy.
In a deeply emotional exchange with Taraji P. Henson at her i AM The Table benefit brunch on Oct. 12, #Megan described how she came to realize she needed therapy. She recalled, “I didn’t know I needed therapy until one day I was just like, ‘D*mn, I’m really sad, and it’s really scary how sad I am.’” Fighting back tears, she admitted, “I didn’t care what happened to me, and I didn’t want to feel like that — like, I should care about my life.” Megan shared that she had long been “just working and trying to be the best Megan I could be,” even as she carried pain and grief inside.
Megan’s vulnerability resonated with Henson, who encouraged transparency and seeking support rather than suffering alone. The rapper has openly shared over the years the grief of losing her father at just 15 and, later, her mother, who died of brain cancer in 2019.
