Kim Kardashian Turns Backlash Into Buzz, Sharing Viral Tweets and Calling All’s Fair the “Most Critically Acclaimed Show of the Year”
Kim Kardashian is embracing the chatter surrounding her new Hulu legal drama All’s Fair — even the harsh reviews — by responding with humor and self-awareness. The series, created and executive-produced by Ryan Murphy, premiered its first three episodes on Tuesday, Nov. 4. The star-studded cast includes Kardashian, Glenn Close, Niecy Nash-Betts, Naomi Watts, Sarah Paulson, and Teyana Taylor. Kardashian portrays Allura Grant, a lawyer who joins a group of women breaking away from a male-dominated firm to form their own practice.
Two days after the debut, on Thursday, Nov. 6, Kardashian addressed the early criticism head-on through an Instagram carousel. The post began with a photo of her in a purple fur-trimmed crop top, followed by an image with Murphy and a screenshot of a post on X (formerly Twitter) showing the show’s 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The fan captioned it, “Immediately pressed play.” Kardashian paired the image with photos of herself laughing alongside Murphy and her co-stars. The reality star and business mogul went on to share several viral reactions — including one that read, “some of the worst acting I’ve ever seen in my life alongside the most predictable storylines and the most ridiculous styling. I’m obsessed, I need 14 seasons. #AllsFair.” Another post she featured said, “All’s Fair on Hulu dares to ask the question ‘Does a show need to be good?’ & the answer is no, it doesn’t.” Kardashian rounded out her post with screenshots from outlets such as The Hollywood Reporter and the BBC, and a photo with Amy Schumer recreating their 2015 Time 100 Gala moment. Her caption teased, “Have you tuned in to the most critically acclaimed show of the year!?!?!? All’s Fair streaming now on @hulu and @disneyplus.”
