Tyler Perry’s ‘Beauty in Black’ Renewed for 3rd & Final Season
Tyler Perry’s drama series Beauty in Black has been renewed for a third and final season at Netflix, bringing Kimmie Bellarie’s storyline with the powerful Bellarie family to a close. The renewal was announced ahead of the release of Season 2, Part 2, which will debut on March 19, 2026, on the streamer. Season 1 of Beauty in Black proved to be a strong performer for Netflix, spending seven weeks in the global Top 10 and reaching No. 1 across 28 countries in its second week on the platform. Season 2, Part 1, also topped the charts, ranking as the No. 1 show in 14 countries during its second week of release.
Created, written, directed and executive produced by Tyler Perry, Beauty in Black follows two women from very different backgrounds whose lives become deeply intertwined through a beauty empire and a criminal enterprise. Kimmie (Taylor Polidore Williams) begins as a dancer fighting to survive in Chicago’s club scene, while Mallory (Crystle Stewart) runs a successful hair-care company but wrestles with a dysfunctional family and a troubled marriage. Season 2, Part 2 of Beauty in Black premieres March 19, 2026, on Netflix. The newly ordered third season will serve as the final chapter of the series, with further details about production and release timing to be announced.
