Ed Lover & Miss Jones Quietly Removed From NYC Radio + Firings Surface After Ebro In The Morning Cancellation

Ed Lover and Miss Jones were quietly removed from New York City radio lineups, a development that only came to light after news broke that Ebro In The Morning had been axed from Hot 97—raising questions about whether multiple exits are connected.

According to RAMP, Audacy’s WXBK (94.7 The Block) has parted ways with longtime radio personalities Ed Lover and Miss Jones, though neither departure was publicly announced at the time. The timing surfaced just as listeners were processing the abrupt end of Ebro In The Morning, which had aired on MediaCo’s WQHT (Hot 97) for nearly 13 years before being scrubbed from the station’s website.

The show, hosted by Ebro Darden, Peter Rosenberg, and Laura Stylez, was syndicated by Superadio, which said, “While the distribution of *Ebro in the Morning* in its current form is ending, Superadio remains fully committed to the Ebro brand. We look forward to continuing to bring Ebro’s voice and talent to the masses across new platforms, which we’ll be sharing more about very soon.

Ebro confirmed the exit with, “It’s done. More to come. #EbroInTheMorning,” while Rosenberg added, “I lived out a childhood dream and it was amazing. Very excited for what’s next.”

With Hot 97 also seeing recent departures from DJ Enuff and TT Torrez, the sudden clustering of exits has sparked industry-wide speculation. Too soon to connect the dots? Stay tuned.
