Singer Jelly Roll Says He Was ‘Six To Twelve Months’ From D*ath At His Heaviest Weight Of 500 Pounds
Country singer Jelly Roll is opening up about a moment when his health scare became impossible to ignore, revealing he believed his life expectancy was rapidly shrinking at his heaviest weight.
During a recent episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” the singer recalled weighing around 500 pounds and feeling dangerously close to d*ath.
“I don’t think I’m making this up when I say I think I was six to 12 months away from missing it,” he told Rogan, explaining that the realization hit as he approached his 40th birthday. “I don’t think I’ve ever met a 500-pound 40-year-old,” he added. “I could feel myself dy*ng.”
Touring only intensified the struggle.
“I travel 280 days a year. At 500-something pounds, 200-something flights a year, 250 flights a year?” he said.
Motivated to change, Jelly Roll committed to daily steps, cold plunges, and basketball during tour stops. His relationship with his wife, Bunnie XO, was also a factor.
“I couldn’t even get aroused. I was so big,” he admitted.
Since 2022, Jelly Roll has lost nearly 200 pounds and is now chasing a new goal.
“I want to be on the cover of Men’s Health by March of 2026,” he previously said.
Folks who’ve struggled with their weight, have you ever felt this way?
