Rapper Monaleo Says “Stop Asking Moms If They’re Pregnant Again,” Shares Honest Post-Baby Body Talk
Rapper Monaleo made waves online after calling attention to diastasis recti — a postpartum abdominal condition — and urging people to stop asking moms if they’re pregnant again based on their stomach appearance.
In a tweet, Monaleo wrote that she wants “more ppl to look into diastatis recti as a result of pregnancy and hopefully we can STOP asking moms if they are pregnant again.”
She explained how her own body changed this year, saying she “lost a lot of weight this year just by rehearsing, touring, getting sick for weeks, etc.”
Speaking frankly about her postpartum body, Monaleo said, “I’m the most snatched I’ve been since having my baby tbh.” She added a message of self-acceptance, noting, “Sometimes the stomach won’t be flat and that’s fine. Still sexy as fuck tho kno dat.” Her comments drew attention to the real experiences many women face after childbirth, with Monaleo using her platform to challenge insensitive questions about moms’ bodies and to push for more awareness around postpartum physical changes.
