NFL Star Stefon Diggs Facing Strangulation & A$$ault Charges, Denies Allegations
New England Patriots’ superstar wide receiver Stefon Diggs is facing serious felony charges.
#StefonDiggs has been charged with felony strangulation or suffocation and misdemeanor a$$ault and battery, according to records from Dedham District Court (Mass.) released today (Dec. 30). The alleged incident occurred on Dec. 2 in Dedham, Massachusetts, and his arraignment is scheduled for Jan. 23. While details about the incident remain limited, Diggs has denied any wrongdoing.
A spokesperson for the #Patriots released the following statement: “The New England Patriots are aware of the accusations that have been made regarding Stefon Diggs. Stefon has informed the organization that he categorically denies the allegations. We support Stefon. We will continue to gather information and will cooperate fully with the appropriate authorities and the NFL as necessary. Out of respect for all parties involved, and given that this is an ongoing legal matter, we will have no further comment at this time.”
