T.I. Retiring From Music After Next Album, Says It’s Time To Focus On Family & Other Talents
Legendary Atlanta rapper #TI has confirmed that his upcoming project, Kill The King, will be his final album before he officially steps away from recording music.
Speaking with Entertainment Tonight on the #GrammyAwards red carpet alongside his wife, Tiny, T.I. reflected on the journey ahead. He called his Pharrell-produced lead single, Let Em Know, “a blessing” and emphasized that this next chapter will mark the end of his long rap career.
“I’m gonna be done. They should know it. I’ve said it before. It’s time,” T.I. said of the project. He added that he looks forward to focusing on other parts of his life, saying, “I think I have many gifts that God has given me that I can spend more time and attention on, and spend more time at home with my family and my grandchildren.”
T.I. has been a fixture in the music industry for decades, delivering a string of hit albums and chart-topping songs along the way. One of his most celebrated projects, Paper Trail, featured an all-star lineup that included #JayZ, Lil Wayne, Ludacris, #Rihanna, and Kanye West. As of now, there’s no official word on when fans can expect Kill The King.
