Guthrie’s Mother, Nancy, Believed To Have Been Abducted From Arizona Home
Authorities in Arizona say the disappearance of Savannah Guthrie’s mother is now being investigated as an abduction, marking a troubling turn in the search.
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos told reporters, “I believe she was abducted, yes. She didn’t walk from there. She didn’t go willingly.”
Nancy Guthrie vanished from her Catalina Foothills home while sleeping, according to investigators.
“We saw some things at the home that were concerning to us,” Nanos said, adding, “We do in fact have a crime scene.”
Officials stressed she has limited mobility and depends on medication.
“The clock is literally ticking,” Nanos warned. “It’s been more than 24 hours since she disappeared.”
Nanos emphasized, “Miss Guthrie, Nancy Guthrie is of great sound mind… This is not a dementia-related situation.”
The FBI is assisting as authorities review surveillance footage and urge neighbors to check cameras. Savannah Guthrie said, “Our focus remains on the safe return of our dear mom.”
Prayers for her safe return.
