Keke Palmer & Demi Lovato Speak On Dating Older Men As Minors: I Was Being Exploited’

During a candid chat on Keke’s podcast, the two addressed the realization that they were far too young to be dating adult men. “I’m 15, why is my boyfriend 20?” Keke asked, prompting Demi to quickly respond, “Why was my boyfriend 30?”

Both shared they were older souls navigating an industry most their age couldn’t relate to. Demi added, “But then you look back in hindsight, when I turned 30, I was like, ‘That’s not okay.’” Keke revealed she nearly had a “mental break” when she realized she was being “exploited.”

While Keke has spoken before about dating an adult as a minor, she hasn’t revealed his identity. Demi’s relationship with That ’70s Show star Wilmer Valderrama went public when she turned 18, though it’s widely speculated their romance began when she was 16 or 17, and he was 30.
