Jasmine Crockett Concedes To James Talarico In Texas Democratic Senate Primary
Rep. #JasmineCrockett has conceded the Democratic primary for the U.S. Senate in Texas to state Rep. James Talarico, urging her supporters and fellow Democrats to coalesce behind the newly-chosen nominee. Crockett said in a statement, “Texas is primed to turn blue and we must remain united because this is bigger than any one person,” and added, “This is about the future of all 30 million Texans and getting America back on track.”
Crockett’s campaign had earlier indicated it might pursue legal action over voting challenges, though no lawsuit has been confirmed. With her concession, Talarico, who secured the nomination overnight, now prepares to face the winner of the Republican runoff between Sen. John Cornyn and state Attorney General Ken Paxton in the November general election.
