Quavo Stars Alongside His Late Nephew Takeoff In Speoming Street Racing Movie ‘Takeover’
Quavo is stepping further into Hollywood with a new action film that also features one of the final on-screen appearances from his late nephew and fellow Migos member, Takeoff.
The Atlanta rapper stars in “Takeover,” a street-racing thriller inspired by the city’s underground car culture.
According to reports, the movie will hit theaters nationwide on May 8. Quavo leads the cast alongside Billy Zane, Lamonica Garrett, Serayah and Martin Sensmeier.
In the film, Quavo plays Guy Miller, a former street racing star attempting to rebuild his life after serving time in prison. His circumstances become even more complicated when he’s forced to step up and raise his brother’s children after their father is k*lled during a robbery.
Despite trying to move forward, Miller is pulled back into the racing scene — the only world he truly knows.
Things spiral when Zane’s character, Gamal Akopyan, tries to recruit him for dangerous crimes carried out during illegal street racing events known as “takeovers,” where crowds block off intersections for high-speed stunts.
The project also carries emotional significance for fans, as it reportedly includes Takeoff’s final on-screen appearance.
