50 Cent Accuses Ex Shaniqua Thompkins Of Using Court Filings To ‘Defame’ Him w/ Decades-Old Allegations In $1 Million Life
Rights Lawsuit

A contentious legal battle between 50 Cent and his ex Shaniqua Thompkins is intensifying, as new court filings reveal accusations of defamation tied to a dispute over life rights.

The rapper and entrepreneur has filed a motion supporting G-Unit Books’ request to seal portions of Thompkins’ legal filings, alleging she inserted “inflammatory and defamatory allegations” about him based on “purported events from decades ago.” According to the filing, he argues those claims are irrelevant to the current case and were previously dismissed in earlier litigation.

50 Cent claims Thompkins is using the case to publicly attack him, citing what he describes as a “personal animus.”

If Tompkins’ inflammatory and defamatory allegations in her pleadings are permitted to enter the public record without restriction, the resulting harm to my personal and professional reputation will be immediate, severe, and irreversible,” the filing reads.

The dispute stems from a 2007 life rights agreement tied to G-Unit Books, which is now seeking “no less than” $1 million, alleging Thompkins breached the deal by “exploiting those rights in a series of videos” shared online.

Attorneys added, “Tompkins does not dispute G-Unit Books’ central allegation that her conduct breached the parties’ Life Rights Agreement.”

However, Thompkins alleges she signed under duress, stating, “Fearing for my life and for my children’s lives, I signed the agreement under extreme duress.”
