The romantic comedy-drama, written and directed by Theodore Witcher, stars #LarenzTate alongside Nia. It released in 1997 and went on to become a fan favorite, especially within the Black community. When asked if she regrets not continuing Darius and Nina’s story, Nia kept it real, saying, “I never wanted to [do a sequel], honestly. Because I felt like it was so beautiful as is and I didn’t want to mess it up.” She added, “I wanted it to stay as a singular piece of art that people loved and enjoyed to watch.”
