Quinta Brunson Inks Overall Deal With 20th Television, Moves From Warner Bros. To Disney
Quinta Brunson is making major moves!
The #AbbottElementary creator, star and executive producer has departed Warner Bros. Television for a new five-year overall deal with 20th Television, making it the highest-profile showrunner move of the year so far. According to Deadline, under the agreement, Brunson’s production banner, Fifth Chance Productions — led by Head of Creative Affairs Erin Wehrenberg — will develop and executive-produce projects across #Disney Entertainment Television’s various brands and platforms.
The move keeps Brunson firmly within the Abbott ecosystem: the show is co-produced by 20th TV and airs on ABC, both of which fall under the Disney corporate umbrella. Abbott, which is heading into its sixth season, has earned four Emmys, three Golden Globes, and a Peabody Award, including two individual Emmys for Brunson in writing and Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.
