Big Tigger’s Estranged Wife Alicia Brown Sues Fulton County Sheriff, Alleges Wrongful Arrest On Georgia Interstate

Alicia Brown, estranged wife of Atlanta radio host #BigTigger, has filed a federal lawsuit against Fulton County Sheriff Patrick Labat, arguing she was wrongfully arrested based on a warrant that should never have been enforced.

Brown says in the Aug. 14 filing that she was taken into custody on July 6 over a #FultonCounty warrant alleging child custody interference — despite a judge awarding her custody of her children less than two weeks before her arrest. According to the suit, that warrant was eventually recalled and no charges were pursued. The arrest took place near Exit 177 in Hart County after deputies were alerted to Brown’s vehicle and, with assistance from the Georgia State Patrol, conducted a traffic stop.

The two children riding with her were unharmed. Authorities at the time cited both the Fulton County warrant and a separate Baltimore County, Maryland warrant connected to the unresolved 2019 disappearance of Brown’s daughter, who was 10 at the time she went missing. That daughter was confirmed not to be among the children in the car during the stop.

Brown’s suit centers on whether her custody order should have blocked the Fulton County warrant from being issued or acted on in the first place. She claims the arrest caused emotional harm, reputational damage, financial loss, and time apart from her children, and she’s seeking a jury trial along with unspecified damages. The complaint goes further, questioning whether Sheriff Labat or his office may have coordinated with her estranged husband and whether he was given favorable treatment following his own June arrest on aggravated battery and child cruelty charges tied to a domestic incident — a case that is still pending, with Big Tigger denying any wrongdoing.
