Lil Yachty & Karrahbooo Get Into Heated Argument Over Who Wrote Her Songs: ‘You’re Trying To Make It Seem Like I Did Nothing’

Lil Yachty and Karrahbooo came face-to-face for a tense conversation about their ongoing dispute over her music and exactly how much of it the rapper helped write.

During Karrahbooo’s appearance on the A Safe Place podcast, the former Concrete Boys collaborators went back and forth over previous claims about her songwriting credits. Karrahbooo pushed back on the idea that Yachty was responsible for all of her material, telling him, “You literally said you wrote every single song I ever made.” She also argued that some of the songs he contributed to weren’t her biggest records, while maintaining that she wanted the public to know she writes her own music.

Yachty, however, acknowledged that he didn’t write everything while insisting Karrahbooo was minimizing his contributions. “I did not write your biggest records,” he said, before referencing songs including “Running Late” and “Never Need.” He continued, “I said that because you’re trying to make it seem like I didn’t do anything. And that’s the part that’s bothering me.” At another point, Yachty stressed that their music was a collaborative effort, saying, “It’s a group. We did this together.”

The conversation grew increasingly heated as the two challenged each other’s versions of events. Karrahbooo argued that Yachty’s previous public comments made it appear that she had little involvement in creating her own music, while Yachty maintained that he was simply defending the work he actually contributed. “It’s not fair that you try to act like you did this alone,” he told her. The tense exchange reportedly resulted in Karrahbooo’s portion of the podcast being cut short, adding another chapter to the former collaborators’ very public falling out.
