#ChrisBrown is firing back at Texas State Rep. Venton Jones after Jones publicly apologized for honoring the singer.

ICYMI: Jones and U.S. Rep. #JasmineCrockett had presented CB, alongside #Usher, with a Congressional Record honor at AT&T Stadium in Arlington on Saturday (Sept. 12), but Jones walked it back Tuesday on Don Lemon’s show after facing backlash for celebrating Chris, who has a controversial history that includes dome$tic v!olence, various civil suits over the years, and his guilty plea to affray in July over hitting a music producer in the head with a bottle at a nightclub in 2023.

Chris initially thanked the pair, but once Jones apologized, he took to Instagram to accuse the rep of caving to political pressure, saying Jones started “tap dancing” out of fear of losing voter support, and insisting he never asked for the recognition in the first place. Chris didn’t hold back in his message, telling Jones and Crockett to “leave me the f*ck alone and let me focus on the fans.”
