Dionne Warwick, 85, Forced To Cancel Carnegie Hall Performance Due To Severe Leg & Foot Pain: ‘I Couldn’t Stand Or Walk’

Legendary singer Dionne Warwick is opening up about a painful health setback that forced her to cancel a scheduled performance.

The 85-year-old, five-time Grammy winner was expected to perform at the Deborah Silver & Fabulous Friends: Voices for ALS charity benefit at New York City’s Carnegie Hall on Sunday (Oct. 11). However, severe pain in her leg and foot left her unable to take the stage.

In a statement to Page Six, Warwick apologized to fans, explaining:

“I’m sorry to have had to cancel the chance to see you all at Carnegie. My leg and foot would not allow me to stand nor walk at the moment.”

She continued:

“Due to the pain, I just couldn’t do anything other than cancel my appearance this time, as I focus on rest and recovering from it.”

Warwick also asked fans for understanding, emphasizing that her absence was solely due to her physical condition.

The health setback comes more than a year after the “Walk On By” singer underwent emergency leg surgery in September 2025 following what she described as unbearable pain. Earlier this year, Warwick revealed that she had resumed walking and performing after months of recovery. However, her latest statement suggests she’s experiencing renewed mobility difficulties.

Despite her absence, the charity concert continued, with veteran performer Marilyn Maye stepping in alongside Jon Secada, Mikaela Secada and Stella Cole. Proceeds from the event benefited ALS research.

Wishing Dionne Warwick a speedy recovery!
