“RuPaul’s Drag Race” Former Music Producer & On-Air Personality Lucian Piane Passes Away At 46 After Being Hit By Car

Lucian Piane, best known for his work on “RuPaul’s #DragRace,” has tragically d!ed at 46 after being struck by a vehicle in California.

According to TMZ, law enforcement sources say the songwriter and producer was hit by a car in Glendale early Monday morning (Oct. 12). Emergency responders attempted to save him, but he was ultimately pronounced de@d at the scene. Authorities reportedly found no identification on him at the time, only a citation, though his identity was later confirmed.

His passing comes after fans recently expressed concern over a series of troubling Instagram videos that appeared to show him spending significant time on the streets. He was also reportedly taken into custody twice in the days leading up to his de@th — once Saturday for allegedly being under the influence of a controlled substance and again Sunday for allegedly a$$aulting an officer or emergency personnel. He received citations in both incidents and was scheduled to appear in court the same day he d!ed. Piane was widely recognized for his contributions to multiple seasons of “#RuPaulsDragRace,” where he worked as a judge, producer, and songwriter.
