Actor Russell Brand Found Guilty Of R@pe & Three Counts Of S3xual Assault In UK Trial
British actor and comedian Russell Brand, 51, was found guilty Thursday (November 5) of one count of r*pe and three counts of s3xual a$$ault following a trial at London’s Southwark Crown Court.
The jury convicted Brand of four of the seven charges he faced, stemming from allegations involving six women between 1999 and 2009.
Brand was acquitted of two additional r@pe charges and one count of attempted indecent a$$ault.
The former husband of singer Katy Perry had pleaded not guilty to all charges, maintaining that his s3xual encounters were consensual.
During the trial, prosecutors described Brand as a manipulative s*xual predator who used his fame to exploit women. His defense challenged the allegations and argued that media coverage had influenced the accusations.
Judge Joel Bennathan indicated that Brand would receive a prison sentence, although sentencing details have not yet been announced.
