[WATCH] Oprah’s Next Chapter: Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson + 50 & Oprah End Their Fued

Sunday evening, Oprah Winfrey sat down with Curtis ’50’ Jackson to interview him for her OWN series Next Chapter. The segment was highly anticipated, as for years, 50 discussed his displeasure with the lack of support that she showed rappers and how she catered to middle-aged white women.

The two sat down in 50’s grandmother’s home (how adorable is his grandma?) and dished on everything from his upbringing, career and his one-way feud with Oprah and why he named his dog after her.
Of the episode, on twitter, Oprah explained:
50 taught me a lot. Can’t judge people ever. I try to approach every interview with open mind and ask interesting questions. Was not one awkward moment from the moment he opened the door, I was calm and comfortable.
She also tweeted why he named his dog after her, she tweeted:
50 did not name the dog out of respect. He said it was because of “negative” feelings. Then he grew to love “Oprah”
At the beginning of their interview, Oprah asked 50 why he disliked her. He explained:
I would see moments where you would discuss your feelings on the culture and everything was wrong w/ the culture was what was on my CD. In that case, I was like ‘Dang she don’t like me’…If I can’t be a friend, let me at least be your enemy to co-exist.
In short, Oprah responded,
The truth is, if you’re in television you need white women and black women in the audience.
